About Steve
Steve Sedberry graduated from Vanderbilt Law School and is licensed in Georgia, Texas, and Tennessee. His practice areas include drafting and negotiating contracts, employment law, trademarks, licensing and sponsorships, real estate, and corporate transactions.
He served as the Vice President and General Counsel, Americas for VF Corporation (VFC) where he supervised General Counsels for Vans, The North Face, Timberland, Wrangler, Dickies, Smartwool, Nautica, and other iconic brands. He oversaw legal operations in North and South America and the United Arab Emirates. He also served as the Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Century Aluminum Company (CENX).
He is an adjunct professor in Vanderbilt’s J.D. and Master of Legal Studies programs- Contracts, and Corporations and Business Entities). He has written several books and articles in the field of law, including, "The Reasonable Person: Due Process of Law, Logic, and Faith, “Law School Labyrinth” (Kaplan), and “Hedging Law School” (Createspace). Most recently he authored eBooks on non-competition and nondisclosure agreements (Law Insider) and did a podcast on trademark licensing. He has taught continuing legal education courses for attorneys (Lawline) and mentored students, including as a part of Vanderbilt Law School’s ONEelevate program.
